KARACHI – The Sindh government has recently made a commitment to provide a significant number of job opportunities in the local police department, which is great news for the young adults in the region looking for work after completing their education.
An authoritative figure in the Sindh Police disclosed that the newly-appointed Chief Minister of Sindh has directed the department to proceed with hiring for 25,000 open positions. This move is part of an effort to bolster security throughout the province.
The official also noted that there will be a dedicated quota for women, minorities, and applicants with disabilities to ensure diversity and inclusiveness in the hiring process. The recruitment will be carried out with a strict emphasis on transparency.
Before advertising the job openings, the police department will meet all the necessary legal criteria. Testing for these various roles will be scheduled in different phases.
Among the positions to be filled, there will be vacancies for police constables. The specific number of constable posts will be announced once the government officially advertises these jobs.
To qualify for a constable position, applicants must possess a matriculation certificate from a recognized secondary education board in Sindh. The age limit for the role is set between 18 and 28 years as of the closing date of the job advertisement.
Physical fitness is also a requirement for the role, with male candidates being expected to run 1.6 kilometers within seven minutes, and female candidates required to walk 800 meters within 14 minutes.
