In an official ceremony at Aiwan-i-Sadr, Shehbaz Sharif, leader of the Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PML-N), has taken the oath of office as the 24th Prime Minister of Pakistan. President Arif Alvi administered the oath to the new prime minister.
Prominent figures such as Nawaz Sharif, Maryam Nawaz, and other members and workers of the PML-N attended the ceremony. Additionally, dignitaries from other parties, including Murad Ali Shah of the Pakistan Peoples Party and Sarfaraz Bugti, were present during the momentous event.
This follows Shehbaz Sharif’s victory in the prime ministerial election held yesterday, where he won with a total of 201 votes. His swearing-in marks the beginning of his tenure as head of the government in Pakistan.
