The package offers subsidized rates on certain items, aiming to provide financial relief to the lower-income segment of the population during the holy month of Ramzan, which is expected to start on March 12.
The government has put forth this relief initiative a week prior to the anticipated commencement of Ramzan, focusing on easing the financial strain caused by soaring inflation. During Ramzan, there is typically an increase in food consumption and charitable activities, and the package is designed to lessen this financial burden for citizens.

This year’s Ramzan Relief Package also includes special discounts for consumers who are registered with the Benazir Income Support Programme (BISP).
