Gohar Khan Re-Elected Unopposed as PTI Chairman in Recent Party Polls

Barrister Gohar Khan has been re-elected as the chairman of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) following the latest internal party elections, as announced by the party’s spokesperson and Chief Election Commissioner Raoof Hasan. During a press briefing in Islamabad on Sunday, Hasan confirmed that Khan won the chairman election without any opposition.

This marks the third time in the last two years that PTI has held its intraparty elections. The previous elections on December 2 faced complications, leading to the Supreme Court’s revocation of PTI’s electoral symbol ‘bat’ after conflicting decisions from the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) and the Peshawar High Court (PHC). Gohar Khan initially became the chairman of PTI in the December 2 elections.
