Shehbaz Sharif, the candidate nominated by the coalition parties for the position of Prime Minister of Pakistan, has officially submitted his nomination papers to the Secretary of the National Assembly.
Tomorrow, Shehbaz Sharif is slated to face off against Umar Ayub for the top office. The timetable for the election was announced only yesterday.
Per the National Assembly Secretariat’s statement, the election for the Prime Minister is scheduled for Sunday, March 3. The notice further details that candidates can file nomination papers until 2 pm on March 2, followed by a scrutiny process that will conclude by 3 pm on the same day.
The selection process, as described by the Secretariat, will be conducted through division.
