Caretaker Prime Minister Anwaarul Haq Kakar has called on the soon-to-be government leaders to keep up the nation’s economic strategies that have been showing positive results.
He emphasized this during the 9th meeting of the Special Investment Facilitation Council’s Apex Committee in Islamabad, which he led.
Key Figures Attend Economic Meeting
The meeting brought together notable figures including the Chief of the Army Staff General Syed Asim Munir, members of the Cabinet, Provincial Chief Ministers, and top government officials. Together, they discussed the country’s economic direction.
Recognizing Achievements and Planning Ahead
Kakar praised the Special Investment Facilitation Council (SIFC), ministries, departments, and related parties for reaching important economic goals under the temporary government’s watch. The ministries reported on the progress of projects and policy initiatives, and shared future plans to draw in more investment.
Committee Satisfied with Economic Progress
The SIFC Apex Committee was pleased with the overall progress and highlighted the effectiveness of the ‘Whole of the Government Approach’ in achieving the desired economic outcomes.
They took note of the various efforts to improve the country’s economic conditions and the steps to create a supportive environment for unlocking potential and pulling in investments.
The focus was on cross-sector policies, development of people’s skills, infrastructure improvements, and stronger local systems to settle economic disputes.
Strategic Plans and Reforms Get Nod of Approval
The committee reviewed relationships with allied countries and stressed the importance of turning investment promises into real economic benefits. They also gave the green light to the Strategic Canals Vision 2030 and reforms in the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR).

General Syed Asim Munir, representing the military, pledged the Pakistan Army’s support for government efforts to secure the country’s economic future and improve the quality of life for its citizens.
