The Pakistan government has named Ahmed Ishaq Jahangir as the new head of the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA). He is a high-ranking officer of the Pakistan Police Service, currently at grade 21.
An official statement from the Establishment Division confirmed Jahangir’s new role at the nation’s leading investigative body.
Previously, Jahangir has held the position of additional director general for Cybercrime within the FIA. He is also leading the Joint Investigation Team (JIT) responsible for investigating the campaign against the judiciary on social media platforms.
