During a recent public meeting in Burewala, Nawaz Sharif, leader of the Pakistan Muslim League-N (PML-N), along with his daughter Maryam Nawaz Sharif, promised to eliminate inflation if their party is elected.
At an election rally on Friday, Sharif highlighted the current inflation issues, noting a significant increase in living costs for the people.
The former prime minister critiqued his political adversaries for failing to improve the situation, and he spoke of a brighter future. He expressed his intention to make Burewala a district in the Punjab province, showing optimism for progress through hard work.
Nawaz Sharif empathized with the young people of Pakistan, especially those who are jobless, saying he would have prevented this if his government had remained in power.
He blamed the past PTI government for the unemployment issues. In gratitude, he thanked the locals for supporting his rally in the cold weather.
Comparing his previous term as prime minister to the time after his removal, Sharif confidently announced plans to update Burewala’s district status.
He also promised infrastructure improvements such as the construction of an airport and a motorway passage through Burewala if his party won the election.
Sharif assured the crowd that with their support, the PML-N could restore prosperity to Pakistan, creating jobs and developing modern transportation networks. He emphasized that employment would reach every household, with projects like motorways and high-speed railways on the agenda.
Upon his arrival at the rally, a cheerful crowd warmly welcomed Nawaz Sharif, reflecting the support from PML-N leaders, workers, and enthusiasts.
Maryam Nawaz, addressing the audience, highlighted her father’s contributions to Pakistan’s development and referred to the prevailing high inflation as a reason for the public’s desire for his leadership.
In related news, the PML-N has announced that it will unveil its election manifesto today, January 27, with Nawaz Sharif to present it at a press conference in Lahore.
